| Security Assessment
Capabilities |
| |
This
set of activities is intended to provide ways in which risk or
threat analysis modeling techniques can be used to identify vulnerabilities
in the security envelop or evaluate the effectiveness of proposed
countermeasures.
|
- Threat
Analysis - Identification of threats and development
of potential scenarios so that a commensurate security envelope
may be established.
- Barrier
Analysis - Identification and reliability assessment
for barriers associated with critical equipment. Results are incorporated
into the threat scenarios.
- Security
Risk Analysis - Prioritization
of threats and barriers, identification of pinch-points and vulnerabilities.
- Economic
Optimization - Prioritization of expenditures
for security and loss control.
- Vector
Response Tree (VRT) - A
diagramed set of instructions used for determination of response,
level of isolation, and notification requirements. The VRT is
developed from the threat and barrier analyses and lends to quick,
accurate, and reproducible responses.
- Development
of scenarios - Scenarios from the
threat and barrier analyses are developed for plant specific training in all
of the areas described above.
- Loss
of Power Vulnerabilities -
Vulnerabilities due to loss of power events are identified including loss of support services. This analysis incorporates all of the findings from the above analyses.
|
| Emergency
Preparedness |
| |
- Development,
implementation, and management of a variety of emergency preparedness
programs within the DOE and Nuclear Regulatory Commission programs
- Extensive
knowledge of DOE, EPA, and OSHA Orders/Guidance Documents related
to emergency management/preparedness, conduct of operations, the
Integrated Safety Management Systems activities
- Maintenance
of emergency fire, medical, rescue (surface and underground) and
HAZMAT capabilities
